About the Program
The ATP Certification Training Program is required by the FAA before you can take the ATP multi-engine knowledge test — the exam standing between you and an Airline Transport Pilot certificate. It exists to prepare experienced pilots for the realities of transport-category flying before they ever set foot in an airline training department.
At Air Vegas Services, the program runs as an intensive 6-day course: 30 hours of ground instruction covering high-altitude aerodynamics, adverse weather, stall prevention and upset recovery, transport-category systems, turbine operations, and airline-oriented procedures — followed by 10 hours of structured simulator training that replicates real operational scenarios in an airline-style environment.
Virtual ground school is available, and the full program is offered at both our Dallas, TX headquarters and our new Miami, FL location at Opa-Locka Executive Airport — the same instructors, curriculum, and boutique service on both coasts.
